International Committee of the Red Cross Assists Militant Group in Recovery for Bodies of Israeli Hostages in Gaza Strip

The International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) confirmed that its representatives joined Hamas officials into areas of Gaza currently controlled by Israeli military control to facilitate the search for the remains of Israeli hostages.

Truce Terms and Hostage Remains Handover

As part of the US-brokered ceasefire, which began on October 10, Hamas is required to hand over the bodies of all captives promptly. As a reciprocal measure, the Israeli government has agreed to transfer the remains of 15 Palestinians for every Israeli body returned.
